Note: Firefox (as of 0.8) has a bug which affects this process: As a user other than root on a non-Mac Unix system, the plug-in installation process will fail silently, because it tries to copy the files to a global location which you probably don't have write access to.

There'a a bug report filed against this, but for now you'll need to follow these instructions and manually install it. Incidentally, at least under Debian, the global plug-ing folder is /usr/lib/mozilla-firefox/searchplugins/

Note that this problem affects any seach plug-in, and is not a problem with this in particular.
